Srujina Mahila Mandal’s Annual Fest, Sharad Mela was celebrated in NTPC Solapur on December 17-12, 2022 in a grand manner. The theme for this year’s mela was “Save Water, Save Planet”.

The Mela was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Shri Subrata Mandal, RED-WR 1, Smt Jayasree Mandal, President Sakhi Mahila Samithi, Shri V.K Pandey, HOP (Kudgi), Smt. Sadhna Pandey , President Mitali Mahila Samiti, Kudgi, in the presence of Shri N.S Rao, ED (Solapur), Shri Rajeev Akotkar, GM (O&M), Smt. Vijaya Rao, President, Srujina Mahila Mandal, along with senior officials of NTPC Solapur and members of Ladies Club.

The inauguration was followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and to mark the opening of the mela, balloons were released by the dignitaries and senior ladies club members.

Guests visited various stalls and welfare wing stalls of the ladies club members and enjoyed the delicacies of the variety of food items which was the main attraction of the mela. Various selfie zone was displayed and attracted the attention of many.
The evening was lit with a cultural program with performances of various traditional dance forms and was thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd. Around 15 vendors from various areas like handicrafts, spices, electronics, garments, etc. took part in the mela.

NTPC employees along with their family members and local villagers in very large numbers participated in the mela. During the event, Srujina Mahila Mandal distributed cycles to GEM 2022 meritorious students, Electronic Atta Chakki to Shubhangi Orphanage, and water coolers to ZP School, Hotgi Station, and Telehal village as part of the welfare development of the community. During the closing day, Sufi, Gazal and Bollywood musical was organised followed by a lucky draw.
